Knowledge and Innovation Exchange hub for education in Anglophone Africa
The Global Partnership for Education (GPE) and IDRC launched the Knowledge and Innovation Exchange (KIX) to improve policies and practices that will strengthen national education systems within GPE partner countries. KIX will accelerate progress towards the Sustainable Development Goal for education (SDG 4) by facilitating knowledge sharing among country stakeholders to enhance their education systems using relevant evidence and actionable research. Four regional KIX hubs will facilitate cross-country knowledge exchange, learning, and collaboration among national education stakeholders.
This project aims to support the regional KIX hub for Anglophone Africa, which includes 19 countries. The hub will systematically identify evidence gaps, source and generate evidence to fill those gaps, and support a network of education stakeholders to use the evidence to drive change in education policy and practice. A key focus of the hub will be to identify scalable innovation processes for primary and secondary education.
This project will be undertaken by UNESCO’s International Institute for Capacity Building in Africa as the lead institution, together with UNICEF’s Eastern and Southern Africa Regional Office and the African Union.
