Ready, Set, Implement: Investing in futures: Financing adolescent SRHR for lasting impact

This event is co-organized by IDRC and the Partnership for Maternal, Newborn & Child Health (PMNCH), the world's largest alliance dedicated to improving the health and well-being of women, children and adolescents. PMNCH is hosted by the World Health Organization.

The session will present key evidence, findings and recommendations from the policy brief on ASRHR financing gaps and challenges. It will reinforce the case for ASRHR as a development priority by highlighting the economic and social returns of investment and exploring practical experiences, good practices and innovative strategies from government, civil society and multilateral actors.

What participants will learn:

  • A clear picture of the ASRHR financing landscape — including key gaps, challenges, and the headline findings and recommendations of the policy brief.
  •  The economic and rights-based case for investment — understanding the social and fiscal returns of prioritising ASRHR in national and donor budgets.
  • Practical financing approaches — learning from country-level experiences and multilateral mechanisms that are working.
  • Opportunities for action — identifying concrete entry points for collaboration and advocacy within their own contexts.

This event is open to the public, and English–French interpretation will be provided.
