Enabling collaboration in global health and biomedical sciences between Canadian, Israeli and developing country researchers

Phase II of the Joint Canada-Israel Health Research Program is a partnership between IDRC, the Azrieli Foundation, the Canadian Institutes of Health Research and the Israel Science Foundation. Phase II will advance research and discovery in global health and biomedical sciences; encourage scientific collaboration and knowledge mobilization between Canadian, Israeli and low- and middle-income country researchers and trainees; and reinforce capacity in global health and biomedical sciences among researchers and trainees. Projects will be led by research teams in Canada, Israel and in low- and middle-income countries. The first call for proposals under phase II - will select six projects for funding and focus on the intersections between chronic and infectious diseases.

This project supports the continued participation of Israeli researchers in scientific collaboration with investigators in Canada and low- and middle-income countries through a contribution from the Azrieli Foundation.
