TTI Phase 2 Institutional Support: Centre for Poverty Analysis
This funding will strengthen the Centre for Poverty Analysis' (CEPA) role as a credible public policy institution in Sri Lanka by enhancing its ability to provide high-quality, influential, and policy-relevant research.
About the Centre for Poverty Analysis
CEPA is an independent non-profit organization that promotes better understanding of poverty-related development issues in Sri Lanka. The centre aims to shape policy in Sri Lanka, regionally, and internationally by providing analysis on the causes, characteristics, and impacts of poverty. CEPA's research themes are urban poverty, child poverty, resettlement, infrastructure services, conflict, aid effectiveness, inequality, and the multiple dimensions of poverty. It receives its funding from the Think Tank Initiative (TTI).
Partnering for strong institutions
TTI is a multi-funder program dedicated to strengthening independent policy research institutions, or think tanks, in developing countries. The program aims to enhance their ability to provide sound research that informs and influences policy.
This second TTI phase (2014?2019) will fund 43 institutions, helping them consolidate their role as credible development actors in their countries, and in some cases, regionally and internationally. For CEPA, this project will help enhance its research quality, organizational performance, and policy engagement.
