Mobilizing youth on the intersections between adolescents’ reproductive health and gender-based violence in Senegal
This project seeks to amplify the results and impact of the ADOS program by supporting five youth organizations working to improve the sexual and reproductive health of adolescent girls at the national level in Senegal. These organizations will benefit from capacity building activities, especially to improve understanding and promote integration of the interactions between gender-based violence and sexual and reproductive health into policies, programs, and actions aimed at improving the sexual and reproductive health of adolescent girls and related rights in Senegal. By developing their leadership and capacity to interact and positively influence state and non-state authorities, these youth organizations will contribute to creating and/or strengthening the conditions for sustainable ownership and the use of ADOS research findings, in particular an integrated approach to promoting adolescent girls’ sexual and reproductive health and rights that accounts for gender-based violence.
This project is part of the program “Better Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights for Adolescent Girls in Senegal – ADOS” funded by IDRC, in collaboration with Global Affairs Canada.
