Impact of social and educational early childhood care and education programs on women’s empowerment in Burkina Faso and Côte d’Ivoire
This project intends to improve the provision of childcare services in a way that meets the specific needs of disadvantaged groups in Burkina Faso and Côte d’Ivoire. This will contribute to reducing the unpaid workload of women, children’s development, and the economic empowerment of women.
The specific objectives are to document and generate evidence on the social and economic constraints that limit access to early childhood socio-educational services in disadvantaged communities and the impact on women’s economic empowerment, child development, and gender relations.
The project also aims to contribute to improving childcare services for disadvantaged groups in both countries while demonstrating how this affects women’s unpaid domestic workload.
