The FutureWORKS initiative, which works through five regional hubs, will support context-relevant, high-quality research that addresses key future-of-work challenges and opportunities with a focus on innovative and gender-responsive approaches to promote adaptable skills and decent employment.
Beyond research, the West and Central Africa hub will facilitate translation of research findings into actionable policy recommendations where the economic empowerment of women, youth and persons living with disabilities is the focus of public policies at the nexus of climate action, digital transformation, including artificial intelligence, robotics and automation and social protection. The hub will engage key stakeholders for the uptake of evidence and adoption of policies and practices that contribute to quality employment.
