Commitment of local youth organizations to adolescent reproductive health in Senegal

This project seeks to contribute to the amplification of the results and impact of the “Better sexual and reproductive health and rights for adolescent girls in Senegal – ADOS” program, through support to four youth organizations working to improve the sexual and reproductive health of adolescent girls on a national level in Senegal. These organizations will benefit from various capacity-building activities, in particular to better understand and promote the integration of the interactions between gender-based violence and sexual and reproductive health into policies, programs and actions aimed at improving the sexual and reproductive health of adolescent girls and related rights in Senegal. By developing their leadership and capacity to interact and positively influence state and non-state authorities, particularly on a local level, these youth organizations will contribute to creating and/or strengthening the conditions for sustainable ownership and the use of ADOS program research findings, in particular an integrated approach to promoting adolescent girls’ reproductive health that takes into account gender-based violence.
