Patricia Ballard

As Chief of Staff and Director of Corporate Affairs, Patricia is responsible for executive strategy and coordination and management of the President’s Office. She oversees corporate initiatives and is the Centre’s Chief Risk Officer.  

Prior to joining IDRC, Patricia worked within the federal public service, academia, and a Crown Corporation. Through her career, she has acquired extensive experience in strategic communications, issues management, corporate strategy, risk management, policy and program development, fundraising and stakeholder relations. Patricia holds master’s and bachelor’s degrees in English language and literature, both from Carleton University.
