These prizes, bestowed in memory of the Centre’s first president, will recognize two individuals for whom IDRC support has been foundational and whose sustained original thought and leadership have led to significant positive societal impact. The prizes are available to outstanding researchers from low or middle-income countries who have previously received or currently receive IDRC support.

The deadline for submissions is March 18, 2020. The two CA$50,000 awards will be announced by mid-May 2020.

As IDRC celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2020, the prizes recognize how five decades of support for innovative research is changing lives for the better.
