Richard Danis

Richard M. Danis is Director, Finance and Administration where he leads a 34‑person portfolio spanning accounting and treasury, procurement, facilities, travel and physical security, budgeting, financial reporting, and insurance. A member of the senior management team, he has driven the modernization of IDRC’s financial architecture—integrating Microsoft Business Central, Coupa, and Workday Adaptive—and established Board‑level ESG reporting and presentations to the Finance & Audit Committee and the Board of Governors.

Across more than two decades in public‑sector and private‑sector finance, Richard has delivered strategic planning, governance, and operational gains at Defence Construction (1951) Limited, IDRC and other private sector entities.

Richard holds the CPA, CA designation and an MBA from the University of Ottawa, complemented by advanced training in IFRS, controllership, leadership development, and HR for CPAs.
